About Stacy Hastie

With three decades of experience across industries such as environmental engineering and consulting, St. Louis, Missouri-based Stacy Hastie heads the Hastie Group, LLC, as chairman and CEO. In this capacity, he directs the work of multiple St. Louis-area companies in sectors such as real estate development, senior-living facilities management, mining, and metals reprocessing. Stacy Hastie is also a dedicated philanthropist who has served on the board of Mercy Hospital South since 2011 and remains involved with numerous charities.

Mr. Hastie graduated from Murray State University in Kentucky with a bachelor’s in accounting and a master’s in occupational safety and health, concentrating on environmental issues and industrial hygiene. In 1992 shortly after he earned his master’s, Mr. Hastie was hired by Environmental Operations, Inc. (EOI), in St. Louis to drive the company’s new engineering and consulting business. After successfully developing this market for EOI, he purchased the company as part of an investment group. In 1999 he oversaw EOI’s first-ever environmental risk-transfer operation, and in 2002 he bought out the other investors in the group.

Over the years, EOI has received a variety of industry awards under Stacy Hastie’s leadership. These include three safety awards from the Missouri chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and two additional St. Louis-specific first-place AGC awards for specialty contracting work centered on environmental remediation.

He has handled -- as lead investor or project principal -- environmental risk-management transactions with a total value exceeding $5 billion.
